Contained in the link above is a step-by-step written guide on how to get your Skyrim looking as nice as possible. I only showcased a few of the mods in this video, but given more interest I will post more videos.

  • WTF... I don't understand this. Is my PC f***ed for some reason? I see loads of people on youtube playing skyrim with mods and on ultra on rigs that are almost basic for gaming. I have a rig running W7 64-bit with 8GB of Viper Xtreme ram, phenom 2 quad core @ 4GHz liquid cooled, and a GTX 570 twin frozr 3 and SOMEHOW the only way I can run skyrim without performance issues is by running it on "high" settings >.< what gives

  • @TheStrayWulF There have been many known compatibility issues with Skyrim, including no full support for quad cores. If you haven't already, get the Skyrim 4Gb launcher, and update all your drivers. That's the only non-specific help I can give.

  • Thanks for the vid, keep doing whatever mods you find. It would also be cool if you suggested some mods that STEP did not have because I have been following it very closely and I really like what he is doing, however, I usually have at least seen the mods on their before posted here. **I realize this is probably impossible because The Compiler scours the entire Nexus, so no big deal if you can't : D **

  • @Vapkez Yes he indeed is very dedicated and it would be hard to do but I will try and include some of my own.

  • Great videos. Keep them coming please!

  • @Stormflite Thanks for your feedback and please subscribe! I have a new episode coming out every 3 days or so =)

  • @TheStrayWulF Same issue. I've got 64 bit W7, 8GB DDR 3 Ram, Intel Core I7 3.4 Ghz, Nvidia GTX 570, and Intel ssd hard drive. I have the latest drivers and the Skyrim 4GB patch and the game CTDs after about 5 to 10 load screens. Any kind of loading screen, fast travel, loading earlier save, etc.

After removing files and testing stability its definitely related to the amount of texture mods installed. But it seems like no one is trying to fix this issue.

  • @TheStrayWulF That sucks. I can run on max everything except AA (off). And I can get around 40 fps with a 560m, which is a mobile card (laptops). You might just want to try turning AA off because there is a huge bottleneck on the game in terms of graphics. It honestly should not make a difference if you are immersed in the game.

  • nice vid, just subbed
