Dear Debbie,

Thank you so much for sharing your son Marc with this country while on this earth and from his place in heaven.

You've allowed us a glimpse into what kind of man he was.

Though is is impossible to repay the debt owed him I vow that until my last breath I will honor his sacrifice and service by picking up where he and the fallen before him have left off. They brought us this far, it is up to us not to squander their priceless gift.

Marc's good name & reputation will be honored.

Debbie, we traveled across the country with you & the caravan last Sept., we have heard you recount the story of Marc Allen Lee's heroic last day many times. It is a no easier to hear than it was the first time. Your son, a hero like so many in our military, must be awfully proud to have called you his mother. This Memorial Day Tribute is another way that you have chosen to share what he & his military brothers have sacrificed for our freedom. Thank you for sharing your son.

Its because of people like your son that make fighting for this country so worth the battle. I'm sure he would never consider himself a hero, but that he was simply doing his job. I never had the honor of knowing him and that is a shame, but i did get to serve with other brave men similar to your son. The world is a little more empty with him no longer in it, but take comfort in knowing that he is exactly where he should be. I wish you the best

My son, Grant, will be off to basic in May of next year. To have my son follow in my footsteps is one of the greatest blessings a father can receive. I know God has used you to comfort and encourage the parents of heroes all over this great nation. I pray that He will continue to give you the courage and strength to continue in such an honorable cause. As I told you when you posted on my song, God bless you for instilling honor, integrity and character into Marc. God Bless America.

Words can not describe just how thankful I am for brave men like Brother Marc. I am indebted to him not only as a American but also as an Iraqi Christian who thanks God everyday for allowing me to live here in the U.S.

He deserve all the rewards in the world but none of them equal the 1 reward he is now experiencing & that is Peace and rest with Jesus Christ for eternity!

Thanks for sharing your storya nd being so brave after losing your son. My eyes tear up just to write this. My family has on in the Navy and one in the Marines.

Praise God for all of those who choose to keep us free. Its amazing how much the younger generation really does understand what it is to be free!!
