Safety and Accountability In Maricopa County.

This is footage of the first Maricopa County Board of Supervisors meeting where they were challenged by "Maricopa Citizens For Safety And Accountabilty. Over 400 people came to express the board as they are not being accountable to the people, instead they cater to a corupt Sheriff Arpaio and special interests.

More and more people are starting to realize that this county is out of control. If the members of the board of supervisors will not stand up for the people then we will elect new ones that will. Sheriff Joe is a terrible excuse for a law officer and they need to hold his office accountable for the money he blows on racially dividing our community. The Governor showed that you can make sure the money goes to the right programs, when will they?

Why did she get down voted? Activism is a great tool to get the word out as Humanleague002 said, but the real power is in the ballot. One can protest all they want, but if these bums aren't voted out, they could care less.

Vote for Ed Hermes (District 1) and Joel Sinclaire (District 2) for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors if you want things to change!

Democracy is bigger then waiting until November in hopes that we may have good choices to make. There is such a thing as informed voting. Until now, most people never knew or cared who was on the County Board Of Suppervisors. Also- protesting is protected in the Constitution and has always been an important part of Democracy. Our elected officials are accountable to the people all the time-not just on election day.

anthonylwesley: You have the correct idea to solve your problem. Vote these people out of office. They will not change. Any efforts you make, such as displayed in the video, will make you feel better but won't change the elected officials ideas. Use your efforts to select a candidate you want to represent you and raise money for their campaign.

Use what's guaranteed by the Constitution and VOTE. The ballot is much more effective than hand made signs and chanting slogans.
