  • they make good cpu's but shit coolers

  • well from 90nm to 65nm was a leap which made a massive change, now its going too 45nm and with the new high-k. i cant wait for these chips. i just wish they release in a price band we all can afford (poor lol)

  • @BeeefyBeast quantum computing is far beyond what we are capable of at the moment. we honestly cant say anything about quantum computing as we cant even put it into practical uses even at the most simplest of task.. its far to complex.. dont expect that kind of technology for another 50-150 years..

  • I understand how the logic works in todays microchips.

But how will it be in quantum computing? What are they going to be doing exactly?

How is it going to be working?

  • it's called the "Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle".

Quantum Mechanics is very interesting, and mysterious.

  • @1981z28camaro how can it be at 2 places at the same time?

  • Yeah I agree with you, it looks like "Tessellation" is going to take care of the polygon issue, have you seen it? it's crazy!

but I know what you mean about texture maps, especially on Chronicles of Riddick (The new one), yuck, that game is ugly if you look close at the walls.

Never liked that game anyways. lol

to reply to your comment above, yes the Rothschilds, and Rockefellers should die off, would make me happy. :-)

  • regarding quantum computers... it might happen a bit quicker than 60 years. they've done some pretty good amount of research so far... but ur absolutely right though.

I think we should start designing a new money-less system for everybody's benefit. the oil and banker families should really die off already. i really don't like saying that.. but u know what... im tired of money. i enjoy doing what i do as it is, money just add a lot of hustle, pain, and suffering.

    we can be without money.

  • lol yes to crysis..

i dunno.. they are so happy about it and the physics.. yet they don't design the textures the way they should be small details. like u go around and u still find cheap ass 2minute texture that u could find in quake I and II. stupid. HL2 was done better if u ask me.

now all they care about is shader count, physics, and ray tracing. when they should really start Really carying about texture detail and number of poligons used to describe it. i hate the prefab bitmaps.

  • Quantum computing is too unstable, being an atom can be at 2 locations at one time, or even more than 2.

and it would also be VERY sensitive to normal daily radiation, I think it would be a while before Quantum Computers are in every home, I'd say that in 10 years it will be used exclusively by the government, 30 years, commercially, and 60 years residentially.

    just my personal estimate :-)

But you know Crysis would still only get 100 fps....

  • its good, but they could have shown how small 45 nanometres is. like they coul dhave compared it to a virus cell or sumthing.

then the dumn peopel would also know how small it is

  • all hail the quantum processor :P
