Sorry about the low quality, I needed to throw this up before 10pm.
Orange peel squeezed over candle, shot in highspeed. (Progresssively faster FPS each clip)
On the basic physics analysis.. I found it really interesting how the drops that would ignite (rind oil or something?) would actually be traveling fast enough to make little streaks of flame before basically exploding (probably from boiling then the air bubbles popping, causing them to explode). I wonder how fast they are going when flying out of there.. I will definately be doing further high-speed on this one! :D
@retrodude266 It was filmed using a High-Speed camera.
Ramp up the capturing FPS (frames per second), then play it back at 30fps, and it's in slow motion.

@taofledermaus Yeah, if you squeeze the rinds this oil-stuff comes out and it burns!
There is a type of drink that uses this (but more extravagant) as a entertaining means to make it.
My little sister (3 years old) is sort of horrified of it, but absolutely rivited all at once.. Easy way to entertain people whilst eating citrus-y fruits!
:D
