Flute is actually cheaper than clarinet an it is so fun
Why?
Flute you dont have to pay for reeds
Also flutes can play to middle c up to C way above the clef

@cutedivaprincess Hi Princess,
I play both, and both are fun if you work and become good at it. However, an entry level professional flute can cost anywhere between $2000 for some Asian-made instruments to $10000...and that's just silver instruments. Pro clarinets are $1500 for Asian to $5000 for the most expensive. That extra money will buy a lot of reeds! And some clarinet music calls for that same high C. It takes a good player to make it sound good, though.
