  • @jimjoyce25 Here are Scott's own words on the subject of fame (tongue in cheek, I assume): "Like the Beatles, I've somehow managed to write lyrics a lot of people think have hidden meaning to be deciphered, but I've done it without any of the burdensome worldwide superstardom the Beatles had to put up with." -- from the liner notes of 'Tinker to Evers to Chance'. BTW, I love '9 Lives...', and the backing vocal harmonies are nicely done.

  • @realnighttime Agreed about Scott Miller's talent and songwriting. Unfortunately have to disagree on future 'fame'. Yes, the GT albums will certainly be revered by a small but intensely loyal group (of which I am a member, don't get me wrong). But otherwise, there's too much crap out there for the masses to consume (American Idol culture and further fracturing of audiences). I put Mitch Easter's 'Let's Active' into the same category.

  • my favorite line--- send me back to alabama with a banjo on my knee !!

  • aw I think Scott's an excellent lead singer, I wouldn't have it any other way.

  • Robin Zander was already taken. Otherwise...

  • God, this is an awesome song and Scott Miller is one of the most talented musicians of our time. I'll always remember bringing a dozen roses to the band when they played Madison, WI circa 1994. I predict some of these Game Theory/Loud Family songs will be famous in 20 years. You were ahead of the curve, Scott. God BLESS YOU!! And congratulations on baby a few years ago!! Saving my life - still! -k.u.

  • GT's songs are great. If only Scott had hired a great lead singer, they would have been famous. Who would you choose? John Lennon? Bob Dylan? Steven Tyler? ---Sometimes I think he was really writing songs for the Beatles.

  • fantastic song!
