  • I was very surprised to watch this photo. I have this CD set but the CD jacket is not different from the upper one.

The symbol on the flag of the sunrise has special meaning for us, Japanese.

But I am sure that his performance of this CD is one of his greatest works.

    I love him madly!

  • While I wouldn't dream of comparing myself to Praguedive's tireless efforts to chamption Coltrane, I would just like to repeat what I said elsewhere:

"Most importantly, this is music which rewards repeated playing. There is so much going on that only a few will absorb everything on the first few listens (I certainly did not). I am biased in that I have nothing but awe and affection for Coltrane, his co-players and their combined legacy but, even with those caveats, this is truly special. "

  • Coltrane free is a challenging listen. But its worth it. Music will never be this unchained again.

  • God I love this!

  • Pharoah's not playing alto.
