Neil Young cover: Borrowed Tune from "All1song" w/ ~ vIDeo~ by "curiousgeorge555"

This is a Neil Young cover by All1song (YT user name). He sent me his song with out video and I created a video for it. Please take a look at All1song's other music at: http://www.youtube.com/user/All1Song

I took "artistic liberties" with Neil's song and added an environmental awareness slant. For all I know Neil could have had the environment on his mind when he wrote the song. He is quite a visionary in my opinion so who knows. He sure is heavily concerned with environmental issues at present. Neil Young has stated that he is not sure if a song can change anything (paraphrased). He is working together with many people, venturing out into the alternative energy arena.

So, to sum up my previous post. For my taste I like it when musicians make a cover more their own than to try and copy as close as possible the original song, singer etc. That's my subjective opinion for what it's worth. ~cg

Thanks hinsy! I like the word play in your post! I'm glad you enjoyed the collaboration. I also agree that Neil is rarely covered well. When Neil Young does a cover like On Broadway on his Freedom album, he usually morphs the song into something that sounds different than the original. Like when Hendrix did Dylan; All Along the Watchtower is a good example. I think it's cool when people try to copy Neil as close as possible. That is a gift in itself and not an easy feat!
