Remember These Faces (1945)
Producer: U.S. Treasury, War Finance Division
By far, with the exception of the second part of "What Price Iwo (1945)", "Remember These Faces" is the most graphic war bond movie ever seen. The movie is clearly intended to kick the complacency out of an American public that, by 1945, had grown weary of war. It uses some brutal combat footage from the island hopping campaigns in the Pacific to show how war bond money was used to care for wounded American troops, from initial wounding on the front line to convalescence on a hospital ship.
Shows the human costs of war; should be required viewing.
Film was prepared for the 7th War Loan, 1945
