Rescued JD

I rescued a very hurt Jack Dempsey from the pet store on Sunday, he was very beaten up. They just gave him to me. They had him one tank, where he was further battered, and they moved him into another fish tank by himself where the water was so bad he was literally pale. Half of his tail was missing, one side had almost a quarter of his scales missing, and the other side about 10% of his scales were missing. He looked very bad. Not moving or anything.

Within an hour or two of getting him home, he was already back to a dark color I would expect him to be, and he was being quite social with the other fish. When he is fully healed, I will post pics.

He as a bright, fire orange stripe going across the top of his tail.

He is big enough that I can reasonably say it is a he. The teal colored spots do not adorn this entire face.

He was feeling good enough after work today to show off for the video camera, so, without further adieu

@m1ste2tea He is in the 265 with everyone else... I bought him a female mate last night and they immediately fell in love with one another. They are very happy.
