Crazed 10 mos. German Shepherd Pup Whose Walk Is Late-Moments With Spike

Spike is a very large 88lb 10.5 months old German Shepherd puppy who lives in a townhouse. This video shows how he wiil remind me if one of his walks is late by ripping thru the tanbark. He is a wonderful dog. German Shepherds are intelligent, protective and loyal. With the right breeder, you can even choose your desired temperament. Ranging from family to protection. GSDs are large dogs who can get along fine in an apartment or condo as long as they get they daily exercise and mind stimulation games!

A GSD needs a lot of exercise - he should have a much larger yard - they are working dogs! Poor dog.

@4tracylamb A GSD will do fine in an apartment or small yard as long as he gets out. Spike gets out 2x a day and about 15 miles a week. Hiking, walking, playing in the creek in the Redwoods, at the beach, the Baylands and the soccer field. When I'm out he sleeps by the front door and waits. When I'm home he's at my feet He could have 10 acres and would still wait. He's not a backyard dog. A GSD with a yard and no one to work him is far worse than a GSD who gets out in nature to be worked.

I love it when my Shepard does the same thing! She'll get so playful she goes nuts and starts running around the room like a paranoid ninja! ^^
