Beautiful video, definitely a major step in the right direction to help raise NAIT awareness. Very informative and gives anyone dealing with NAIT hope, this video gave me the courage to have a treated pregnancy, hopefully it will help others!!

NAIT is the blood platelet equivalent of Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn (HDN) which is screened for. There is lots of ongoing research regarding Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia. It is now estimated at 1/800 but until prenatal screening is carried out the true numbers are unknown. Rarer diseases are screened for. More research needs to be done in the area of producing a vaccine
