I read an independent non-biased study which said Russia had more Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press than America. We were close behind we wern't like North Korea which was second to last, but that's pretty sad.

theagent3 -- I guess it's kind of hard to tell from the way that I wrote it, but when I wrote "How shocking," I meant it sarcastically. I don't find it shocking at all, actually. That's what governments do, unfortunately.

How is this shocking? When Martin Luther King was marching for Civil Rights, the US Government where watching him. Anytime when individuals who are deemed a threat to any ruling parties they be watched and sometimes eliminated. MLK was assassinated, who were the parties involved? Please, it was not James Earl Ray.

How shocking. There is a different standard for the people whose opinion is in line with the government and the party! Or should I say parties? As Butler Shaffer says, the Democrats and Republicans are two wings of the same bird of prey. How sad.
You are clearly free to say whatever you want in America -- so long as it agrees with the party line!

WTF a free speech zone in a country where free speech means your supposed to be able to be free to voice your concerns anywhere instead your very freedom is behind a wall of wire and stormtroopers dressed in riot gear, guns ,if u ever wake up don,t forget to take your Ritalin .
