  • Thanks therealsouthstander. I have a triple (48/38/26) with a cassette 11-34. Bottom gear of 26x34 easily got me up 20% gradients no problem at all.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone. Magical islands, stunning scenery, great weather. Good times.

  • Hi Selrig..We are planning on cycling from Lewis to Barra or vice versa depending on wind direction towards the end of May..I'm a little concerned about that Mountain range in Harris, are there any other areas that are difficult and do you have any tips for us,maybe something we must take with us? We think the part from Lewis to The ferry terminal in Harris should take 2 Days and from Berneray to Eriskay should take another 2 Days, that would leave us 1 and a half Days for Barra and Vatersay..Do

  • Amazing photos..How was the part between Harris and Lewis with all that weight ? I've heard it's very hilly..

  • Clares sister here, love the video, great views X

  • I cant wait to be in Scotland next year!!

  • Fantastic video, I am from wester ross and although not part of the tour this has made me very homesick!

  • Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos of a wonderful trip.

  • My God man! This is the best advert for Scotland I have EVER seen. I was toying with the idea of a Hebridean bike tour and your show has made my mind up! My Tour 2012. You should send it to Visit Scotland, because it is far superior than anything, ANYTHING, they have done!

  • Congratulations on a very professional presentation, this is my planned tour for Spring 2012 and your film has inspired me, can't wait., thank you. Mike
