there is loud obnoxious people all around the world, i think alot of people have the impression about americans because of tv shows/filmsand the odd obnoxious, pretentious people that they encounter. there is stereotype for every country and county, that is the way it is unfortunately. people prefer to feel a higher importance than be equal and have a shared culture.

There was a newspaper article in which hotels had been asked about tourists... Americans were not rated highly, but Brits were also not rated highly. Japanese were rated the best tourists!

Curiously enough, Brits who travel close to Britain were rated bad, but Brits who travelled farther away from their country were rated better. Is this about poorer people going to France&Spain&Italy getting drunk and causing disturbance, and wealthier people going farther and behaving better? I'd guess so...

@moctuzuma so you see a couple people making asses of themselves on a youtube video and form an opinion about an entire country? Have you thought about the hundreds of thousands of American tourists who don't end up in videos on the internet because they act right? Guess not.

Of course they're loud and obnoxious. They're from Texas. Most other Americans are alright. And those people were probably wasted.

Only 27% of americans have passports, watching this i now know why, everyone hates american tourists.
