I'm sorry but your instruction is wrong. That last 1/3 of range of motion is indeed important. That is where a lot of emphasis is put on the rear head of the deltoid. You're the first person I've ever seen who claims the bottom 1/3 of the range is not necessary. Could that be because you selected the wrong bench to work on?
I don't know what you were trying to teach at the 2 minute mark but that is a serious shoulder injury waiting to happen. You are going to get people hurt.
