Happy Belated Birthday to Audrey Hepburn! I'm a big fan of old movies.. Some of my favorites she's done are, Sabrina, Roman Holiday, Charade, Funny Face, and Breakfast at Tiffany's (although I really love the book better!). I fell in love with her the first time I saw Sabrina, but after all it would've never worked -- blame it on my youth!
There is no fixed tempo for a song and every artist has his/her own style. This melody was written by the unappreciated Oscar Levant in 1934, and Mr. Levant wrote it in the performance style popular at that time, which was not the slow, near adagio style it is usually played at today. I think the best performance of this work is by Nat King Cole. Check it out.

Isn't there an opening melody for this song? Don't forget the openings....check out How Are Things In Guacamora, for a superb opening melody...
