Bradwell Institutes Spring Concert. My apologies for any parts of the song/video missing or cut off. My apologies for anyone standing in the way or talking too much, and also for certain people in the chorus being cut off/not being shown as much as others. Mixed and mixed w/womens chorus available only. Amanda Durden, director. Rodney Powers, accompanist. This song is called Chorus of the Hebrew slaves, and it is by Giuseppe Verdi, and from the opera "Nabucco." The opera "Nabucco" permiered in 1842 in La Scala, Italy. The setting is 587 B.C. in Jerusalem and Babylon. The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves takes place towards the conclusion of the opera and illustrates the hopes and dreams of freedom for the captive Hebrews. (Copied from the Spring Concert program)
