  • Too bad the SCUM THUG who shot the officer lived...Another piece of GARBAGE we have to support!

  • Great job on reporting this. They are both (well all 3, counting the 911 operator) extremely calm in a very difficult situation. But I'm betting this weeks grocery money that when the ambulance got to the officer and "took over" his care, then his wife probably was able to allow herself a little "falling apart time".

  • @TROOPER1231000 yep, very well though out statement there einstein. just remember this shit can happen to you, cop or no cop. and if it does, dont call 911. and if you do, i hope they says "fuck off, you dont need our help. we will come down and scrap you off the carpet for the next resident."

  • the only good cop is a d#4D cop

  • Personally speaking, in a perfect state the suspect would be publicly executed for such an act, but that is'nt the way things go here. Crimes against officers are on the increase and we will most likely never see a decrease. It pays to see who is at your door before you open up. Im cautious and always have my side arm with me if i dont know the person. Remember guys, they can find out who and where you live very easily.. and always watch ur 6.....

  • officers carry their issued weapons home duh. my dad was an alabama state tropper & always brought his state issued 357 home. he also was allowed to keep it when he retired. after he died my brother got it.

  • YAY!!!

  • I can't believe this didn't make bigger news. I've just learned of this. Then again, I can believe it. Why would the national media support law enforcement or cops carrying off duty?

  • Thank goodness and good work deputy. Interestingly, there are folks out there who believe cops should not carry off duty. Really? This is a great encounter with a solid outcome. Well done.

  • I hope the scum gets a flesh eating staph infection and dies a slow painful death. Hats off to the Dep and his wife, hope he heals up fine and gets back to work soon. From now on park your patrol car in the garage, lesson for all officers with take home vehicles. Marked units in your driveway are psycho/perp with a grudge magnets. Stay safe and most importantly ALWAYS be armed.

  • Remarkable how calm everyone was. A good reminder of the kind of people LE deals with.

  • Great composure
