Part 2 of my WN trilogy. From still photos, travel through a time when the National Bus Company in its infancy was bringing about many changes within subsidiary companies. Western National had assumed control of Devon General, who itself had only recently taken over Exeter's municipal buses. Though the vehicles showed WN legal lettering, there was still a strong presence of Tilling and B.E.T. in the air. This would very soon change.

  • Thank you for your interesting series of photos and Information. I always admired Devon General Buses which used to run a service into Plymouth back in the 1950s when I lived there. Exeters Leylands and Guys were impressive too! Its good to be able to see some familiar shapes again!
