Bonnie Bickwit and Mitchel Weiser vanished without a trace from Camp Wel-Met in upstate Narrowsburg on the morning of July 26, 1973. Bonnie, 15, of Borough Park, and Mitchel, 16, of Flatbush, both students at Brooklyn's John Dewey High School, were on their way to a major rock concert being held in Watkins Glen.
@stuartkarten Have they been ruled out as the jane and john doe of Sumter County 1976.

Could somone please let these siblings know the strongest mitochondrial DNA comes from the mom & is passed on to all her children, so they can also give DNA to be matched to any unknown Jane & John Does found over the years. My thoughts & prayers go out to these 2 families for having to wait so very long for answers to their loves ones disappearances..

I was looking for some concert footage and discovered about these kids and feel really saddened. I wish I could help.I went to this concert and remember getting lost and hassled by a bunch of older red necks because of my long hair. Hey it wasn't all peace and love! That area was a magnet for weirdos. I was there 2 weeks and stayed with the locals. Deliverance. Tobacco Road. you name it. I hope these Brooklyn kids were not kidnapped and persecuted. Mercy on them and their families.
