Kilt This is a venture taken on by 2 ladies from Saint Paul, Minnesota in July of 2009. Neither knew how to sew but Serena, the original designer and founder to Kilt This, decided she didn't like the utility kilts that were on the market so she decided to make one herself. The next thing she knew, people were sending her orders and a year later, this video shows you what has happened to Kilt This and it's international exposure. Kilt This now has kilts all around the world and this was all done by simple word of mouth advertising. Serena Laws and Cris Stanton are Kilt This, custom utility kilt designers. Original kilts made by original people. www.kiltthis.com or find their large following on facebook. If you like what you see, please, share this video. Feel free to post it everywhere!
Kilt This!
"I wanted something cool, inexpensive and something that expressed me, but I quickly learned that if I wanted all that, I'd have to make it myself. So I did." Serena, designer, founding partner. "People want to get their money's worth if they're going to pay for a utility kilt. This way people can decide on the fabric, and choose details without paying more. People don't want to spend over $200 for something off the rack!" ~Serena

  • Oh my! I love your work. I'm about to begin working to make my own kilt and this is a great inspiration and motivation for me. Congrats on your work and your unscripted technique. WOW!
