<will never ever touch an innocent animal in regards for research..In fact I plan on being a good example of how we can come to conclusions without animal use.. Animals have different genetics then us humans. The fact that their brain makeup is not similar to us humans can only mean they will react differently then human bodies will. The brain controls everything in the body, why test on animals when they lack or have underdeveloped parts compared to us?

  • animals should NEVER be used for research PERIOD! Animal biology is NOT the same and it serves no purpose! Support PCRM!!!!

  • I said the "most of people". School lunches and simple food? Was that suppose to support your point? They are very unhealthy, and most kids are eating the same over processed fatty foods their parents are. & I thought I did choose sides. I rather they die. If I were unfortunately sick and in the same fears of those who are, I know I would be tempted to support the sacrifice of other living beings for my own, but I also know I couldn't live the rest of that survival knowing the harm I supported.

  • Actually, all of those conditions are just worsened by poor lifestyle choices. Lance Armstrong got testicular cancer. Children who've eaten nothing but school lunches and simple food get diabetes everywhere.

Should we not kill animals to save otherwise healthy humans because the sloppy, obese ones will also live?

The real issue here is that you're just going to have to choose sides. Do you want humans to have cures for diseases, or would you prefer that they die, rather than hurting animals?

  • Disregarding the fact that animal testing has done alot as well as not, doesn't make it ethically right.

Diseases and conditions like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes that are affecting the most of people wouldn't be if they would eat and live a healthier lifestyle in the first place. Then to exploit and cause suffering onto millions of living beings annually without any sacrifice from their selves for their own cause is pathetic and disgusting. So much for humans being so superior.

  • Actually, it serves a purpose. You may not agree with the methods, but saying that it doesn't work is very far from the truth. If it didn't work, we would have no insulin and roughly 90% of all vaccines.

If the choice is to be made, weigh your values carefully. If I had to club a city's worth of seals to death by myself to save the five or so diabetics I know, I would do it without a second thought.

It wouldn't be pretty, but it would be worth the effort. The real choice is simpler.

  • 90% to 99% of promising animal research hits a dead end when applied to humans. Better we should test on corrupt politicians and repeat violent offenders (keeping in mind that today we usually test on the poor and desperate).

The data would be more valid than from animals, and it would allow criminals to repay their debt to society.

Check out a library book by a MD & VMD team: "Sacred Cows and Golden Geese: The Human Cost of Experiments on Animals"

  • This is a huge paradox... it's obviously cruel to use animals for testing, but at the same time, the health field would be decades behind where it is today if it weren't for monkeys and lab rats.

  • PCRM and Dr. Barnard is incredible! 2 weeks ago I stumbled upon the webste and watched sections of their DVD "living well" - I was a meat-eating, dairy-consuming person. By the next hour as I finished watching the sections I was a vegan! I LOVE BEING A VEGAN! I feel great! more energetic and feeling healthier in general!

  • Excellent video about PCRM. They are a wealth of information that all should be aware of. The lab testing on animals really needs to be stopped. If the government would quit funding it would end. Thanks for posting this.
