Make that around 30bhp less.

Considering the fact that the FD2 has rear seats, glass windows, AC and over 30bhp you would think there might have been more of a gap. The increased wheel base seems to make the FD2 quicker in the faster corners too:) + sticking a SC or a Turbo on a Honda would be a travesty. :-P

@antonis626 yes, your friend also sucks cock, no French cars will ever compare to Japanese engineering and quality. thats why it needed a turbo, less doors and race wheels to beat it..
-
Muggen RR / JCW GP / R26R wouldbe sick
-
agreed man... they should use mugen RR in this race...

We don't know if the Mégane has the track pack with Toyo R888 in this battle.
-
@antonis626 Actually the fact that the R26R is turbocharged and has track tyres and still had trouble outperforming a the NA Civic Type R on street tyres is very disappointing. All the Type R needs to kick the R28R's butt is a set of the same tyres the Megane is on. It doesn't even need equal horsepower. -_-

Civic sounds better, has four doors hence a proper four seat, beautifully engineered engine, will be more reliable compared to french reliability and its more user friendly, its not a hardcore track car like the megane, civic FTW
-
Which do you like better, civic or mini?

I'm impressed the fd2 was pretty much the same performance as the r26r as the Hondas n/a and not turbocharged like the Renault imagine how bad it would kick that meganas fat ass of it had a charger stuck on it :)
@SuperIppokun i know the R26R wears semi slicks from factory, while the type R wears custom sports road tyres from factory...either way, considering the honda was NA and the renault was turbo, it shows the amazing engineering that went into the civic...
