1998 Ford Escort Wagon (Part One) Overview

My ford escort with 361,500 km on it. 5 speed is so much fun :). Sorry its so dirty....its the things a Canadian winter can do to a car, damn salt. Names changed for video sake. I would like your input on what muffler i should put on the car :) Engine: 2.0 L split-port induction "with Castrol Syntec and Lucas Oil Stablizer" Hp: 110@4500 RPM TQ: 134@5400 RPM Trans. 5 Speed Manual FWD

i´ve a 1998 Escort (look my video) but is equiped with stok engine Zetec 1.8 with 130 HP

@ZETHwolf2010 Hey man, you have to remember, the motors you have over there are a TON better than the ones in North America. The only model a Zetec was available in was the coupe. All the sedans and wagons had a Single Over Head Cam motor that had alot of torque, not power. None the less, the single cammer is coming out and a dual cammer is going in :)

Nice man. i drive a 99 with a 130,000 miles on it. runs great. and i have a kick ass sound system n it too. im lookin to convert mine over to a stick shift too.

@djanthony252 Thanks man! I love my escort :) it runs so good even after beating on it. And all I can say to the stick shift convert....DO IT! Awesome cause everyone under estimates these cars :)

I'm getting a 96 escort 5 speed wagon with 150,000 for $200. All I have to do is replace the front right control arm. So total $290.

I have a 1998 Escort SE, bought it new - put all 179.900 on it and like the salesmen said, its bulletproof. I keep it cuz it cost me $30 to register new plates. so its our 3rd car now. Very reliable, 30+ mph and fun. Only problem ive had tie rods up front, other then that. Routine stuff. Dont know what you can do to ger more pop without spending a ton - maybe K&N Typhoon CAI. FORD First on Race day..even though i drive a Nissan. Keep the shiney side up and the bumper side down.

I kno right. yesterday i made a new friend n he has a universal turbo i may put on mine. but for a stock car with chrome rims and a heavy system holding it back, it goes pretty quick:D
