Paige Nemec, first girl to qualify at OHSAA State Wrestling Championships. She didn't place, but wrestled well. Good Job Paige!

  • @justinharker It's sort of a sexist gesture to give such recognition (not from a feminist view point, but rather the age old, sexist, Male Dominant view). It indirectly says that they view women as a weaker sex, thus warranting abnormal recognition. I'm sure this message isn't intended, and most people don't think of it. The recognition is nice and encouraging for women, but it dimly reflects one of society's oldest sexist views. Compete as equals = Treated as equals...no exceptions.

  • Paige Nemec seems to be a VERY hard wrestler to beat. Good luck in the future!

  • @SydTheKid34 they dont give the guys any kind of recognition unless they place.

  • @justinharker thats not the fact..its the fact that she can beat most the guys easily. and there should be recognition for getting that far and orking that hard.

  • @SydTheKid34 i just think there shouldnt be any type of recognition due to the sex of someone in sports.

  • @justinharker.....not the point haha but okay. its way diffrent and she actuallly beat a lot of guys out there and had a lot of tough matchess.just sayingg

  • @SydTheKid34 so would they give me recognition for being on a drill team just cause i was a guy and did good? Everyone would call that sexist!

  • @justinharker anyone can wrestle.and obvisoly this sport was right for her..and i would know if im her sister.you have no room to talk.

  • The guy next to the guy recording, Jumped to the head table, Over 5 feet, Talked them into recognising her.

  • Really? Why did they recognize her? Women dont belong in wrestling.
