As of this morning, the timing of the first presidential debate is still up in the air as Sen. McCain suspended his campaign to address the Wall Street meltdown.
The historic debate in Oxford, Mississippi , will eventually happen. It could be this evening or over the weekend. Earlier this week, before McCains announcement, Tony and Toby sat down with legendary Democratic strategist Bob Shrum to handicap the first McCain/Obama clash.
Bob Shrum serves as a counselor to Edelman. He has been a top aide to a series of Democratic presidential hopefuls, including Edward Kennedy in 1980 and Al Gore in 2000. He was the top strategist for John Kerry's campaign in 2004.
It was fun to watch this after the debate. It shows how clueless "pundits" can be.
