HARPER,GARRATT,SLACK & DAVIES return to one of their vintage strongholds BUT some toe-rag promoter didn't promote the show, hence the crap turn out, and then runs off with the band's money !!!
MESSAGE TO THE SUBS - We were appauled to hear this - don't think ill of our town and please come back!!!

It was very sad to see such a lame low turn out as Middlesbrough was one of their fanatical strongholds back in the day but unlike the good crowd that turned up in 2001, the promoter this time did no advertising at all AND DID A FLIT WITH MONEY AND THE BAND DIDNT GET A PENNY!

@RedBryn spot on. davies is awesome on crash course live but just tossing this off. not sure about roberts. technically the new guy is the dogs bollocks, but you are right, a bit keith moon. slack was never known for his stage presence. lol

Slack & Davies are just coasting it, here. Nowhere near as tight as they were 27 years earlier. Davies can really play, when his heart's in it: he was shit hot with 'Here & Now' - their best drummer, I reckon, but not the Subs' best, surely that accolade's got to go to Roberts, for his Moon-esque renditions of these ditties. Thank fuck for Garratt & Harper: they more than make up for the rhythm section. A keg-less - not leg-less - Roberts accompanied by the evergreen Gibbs would've been better.
