@chucklefoudouis i know a lot of this band's history is kinda shrouded in mystery but i think wakabayashi wasnt in the band anymore when the plane hijacking happened. he isnt credited on any known rallizes recording. on the stuff and the only thing we really know about his involvement with the band is that he was the "original bassist" meaning he was probably only in rallizes for a very brief time.

@soniclife19 - You refer, of course, to Moriaki Wakabayashi, the original bass player. Still, he "left" the band in 1970 (six years before the above performance), and they continued on with this guy (and other bassists?) until at least 1996. So I could live without Moriaki showing up for the reunion. ( ^_^ ) . - Besides, I read somewhere he might be getting out soon...

If only we'd had the internet back then, I think we would have heard all about these guys. Damn shame.

@chucklefoudouis I think a reunion would be pretty difficult as I'm pretty sure one of the band members has basically been imprisoned in North Korea for the last 3 decades or so.

A big thank you to gaaxnuul and nico nico douga. This is terrific! Very much digging this band, and all your other vids of them.  Pyrotechnics! Disco ball! Massive 3D blobs of sound, what else could we ask for? A reunion tour, including the us, maybe? btw, where did you have this, on an old reel of video tape?
