A little song I made after reading the characteristics of someone growing up in an alcoholic family.

I have 18+ years of sobriety, spirtual, emotional and physical. I owe a huge part of it to Alanon, but I would not recommend it to any young person today (or anyone really) because the entire orginization has lost application of the 12 traditions. The worse thing you can do is lure sick people into a safe place like an Alanon meeting, and not have unificaiton on the 12 steps and 12 traditions. Especially anonymity. All this will do is keep the urge to drink around forever.

Fantastic! There's so many who need this message. Just like alcoholism, addiction to 'change others" is a progressive illness that get worse over time. As a therapist, the majority of ny cases need the healing that comes from these programs that teach us to focus on self and start healing there.
Thanks.
