Brian Baird Town Hall meeting Sept 2, 2009 this video is an exchange between a young conservative man and Rep. Baird became a little incensed at the way the young man personalized one key part of his statement. Brian Bairds rebuttal was interesting in the sense he started to go to half-truths and painted an illusion that the Republican Party was the problem with debt. Because of the spin there is 2-minute segment that address the half-truths and bring some reality back to the issue.

President Ronald Reagan cut taxes dramatically following his election (FACT), he also raised taxes massively to stop the economy from spiraling out of control in the 1980's (FACT). He was a good President (FACT). So tell me, Was that time in our lives "Distructive to Freedom and our Economic Stability"no, it was not. Just like history will prove with this President. We will survive this economic down turn just like the many we have had before.

President Reagan was my hero he was always for small government and the best president of the last century!

Regan came into office with situation worse then today. His answer was to cut taxes and help business. Today with the present congress and administration is adding taxes, which can only slow any recovery!

Timing is everything, we are digging our own grave because of public debt and vast expansion of the money supply.

Brain Baird knows this, yet he wants more GOVERNMENT!

You clearly see what a professional politician can do with language. I see Brian Baird looking to expand government when he should be working on reducing its reach, the money is not their.

When Brian Baird puts his "constituents" into more debt he is not helping anyone, my friend TAX is real and it's destructive to freedom and economic stability!

As for Mr Trent each step is always a learning experience, good for him.

i dont think trent got "owned" i think baird went into defense mode with some jive talking.....lol.... i love the centralia council meeting about the thorebecks event center thing...... trent suggest it should be strictly a private investment rather than the city giving them $600k ,,,,,,, the new mayor told him to "keep your philosophies to yourself" what an erogant mayor we got huh?

wow, what a spanking! Baird took Mr. Trent to school. Mr. Trent would do well to keep his cocky attitude in line, especially since he is running for public office himself. Would he expect his constituents to "take care of themselves, thank you very much"?
