Ken does it again! He manages to sum up the challenge of our times and gives insight into how we might cultivate a positive attitude towards change and our evolving idea of who we are and who we can be.

  • Devine pride only works when the ego is sacrificed to the collective. The ego cannot see the bigger picture because it is limited to the object and cause and effect. It has to have a set of universal principles to become objective. One can have pride that one is trying to make the world a better place, enlighten others etc. It's o.k. to want to be a great sage, guru etc. but being famous does not make one intelligent. One has to be able to help the common man not just the gifted group.

  • @presentlightoftruth how much moral effort does it require for you not to project your trollish insecurities on every wilber and tolle video?

  • @mayallbeingsbefree

but I know that this fear arises out of my lack of realization of nonduality. Knowing that I have this part in me that IS already and will always be free is soothing.

  • Often when I listen to Ken Wilber talking about the evolution that lies in front of us, I really feel fear. When I am listening to him I recognize that I am very close to a life that is just "bigger" than I could imagine just a few years ago.

But my experience has shown that my "lower" parts (my first tier parts) and my "network around me" is not stable enough to let me get into integral or higher worldviews as intense as I want to. So I am afraid of never really realize what i got to touch!

  • (LOL) I regularly find it useful to remind myself . . . that I'm not Ken Wilber.

Maybe he's capable of taking full responsibility for what he says in this video . . . and maybe not. I really don't know.

But I DO know . . . that I myself wouldn't be at all inclined to advocate the perspective he does in this video. Seems to ME . . . that it has way too much potential for abuse.

But there you are: I'm not Ken Wilber . . . and he is. Have to leave it at that, I guess.

  • This is great!! What DVD is this from?
