@ManTheBush that happened to me to but the crystals were green instead of purple

When I was a kid I found a rusty looking round rock and it looked good to throw so being a kid I threw it and it broke in two and inside there were purple crystals covering the inside, so I brought it home and my Mom wouldnt let me keep it she said "Its dirty I don't want it in the house" and I said I can clean it and she still said no. I did not know untill years later what a geode was, I want to try to find it I put in beside the house but I moved years ago. :(

ok so I have similar rocks, kept them because they're unusual, when you shine them with a blacklight they have "iridescence" of purples or blues but without blacklight there white/clear crystallike bowl shaped. The color under blacklight is pretty fantastic but runs threadlike or narrow veinlike, is this a geode?

@rockaton9 .. HI.. without seeing a picture of the rock, I do not know if it is a geode or not..
