Holy crap. I have an easycap, and this looks and sounds 10 times better.

Their are three factors that could be why your having this conflict for the video quality.

1) you might be using composite cables. S-Video cables are required for the optimal easycap quality

2) this may be the least likely problem, but if your playing on PS3 or Wii versions of the same title the black level difference might be in favor on the Xbox version.

3) try upping the bitrate to 9,000kbps if your computer can support it.
