"When Guy Ritchie finished the movie, he discussed a sequel with the production team. Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law and other cast members also signed up to a possible sequel. Ritchie has started to write the story and pre-production begins on March 21, 2010.[citation needed] Sherlock Holmes 2 is a possible title for the film, which will help to cement the new Sherlock Holmes franchise.
