Yes there's alot of problems with the modern world but having the world run by a bunch of vegan feminist PC lesbians sure won't fix it. I think they should scrap a load of courses at uni. For example, studying feminist poetry? Studying black art? Jesus, I've heard of some students studying Marxism at uni. Scrap that shit, make them do something useful or charge the rich bastards double.

@DarylJCheetham Nope. I don't do drugs, don't drink. And it's still bloody hard work. The hardest intellectual sort of work you're likely to do. It's interesting and fun, but sure ain't easy. As for 'evil capitalism'. Well, I don't think it's necessarily 'evil', but is highly unfair at times. Do you begrudge students their youthful spirit at questioning it? Were you never young and angry? "Get a job and it's not so bad" smacks of selling out.

@bob43597 I'm not a student, you're right. I live in Lincoln, full of the pretentious cunts. Not a day goes by when some knob wants me to sign a petition to "bring down capitalism". Just get back to your lesson and revision, pass your exams, get good job and then it wont seem so fucking evil will it? If I had the money to go to uni, I wouldn't spend 3 times that again on weed and wetherspoons thats a fact. It would be so much easier if the tossers where sober.

@DarylJCheetham Okay, what you're doing is summounting every single individual student with your bitter perspective of what 'bloody students' are like, as if you think thousands of individuals from all sorts of backgrounds and all walks of life can be generalised as being exactly the same. You've obviously never been a student yourself, because if you had you'd realise it can be very hard work. What would you do with the money that would 'bring down the system', punker-than-thou?

Your comment mixes up all the cliches of what students are 'supposed to be' and shows that maybe you could do with some education to look beyond stereotypes. What would you do in their shoes? Any different I wonder. Those students who go on marches and protests - i think you'll find they very much do care and have as much right to protest as anyone, from any background.

@prisoner27100 Actually history is made by many a revolutionary who happened to go to college to learn about the system and how to get beyond it. Most anarchists and Marxists come from the middle to upper classes because they have the time and money to look into these things and see that money can't buy you happiness. As you say, you do need education, but you also need to have the smarts not to take anything for granted, not to accept anything as true without testing it yourself.
