@pearldrummer20 I agree the L5s are more reliable than the L7s I've had 1 L7 blow and never had an L5 blow. But I was talking about just the average set up because if I was going to really get into it and build a custom box and everything else I wouldn't buy L5s or L7s I'd buy solo x's. A majority of the people who buy L5s and L7s and CVR's and the other speakers in that class don't know enough about building custom boxes and tuning them and everything else so they just buy a custom built box.

@trey42590 You aren't breaking anything to me.L7s will sound louder than L5s in a prefab box with no tuning involved.However I have worked alongside national competitors in SPL and can promise you that a box tuned for L5s(taking into consideration;impedance rise,voltage drop,Ohms stability and different frequencies)the L5s will be more reliable & consistent for competing & inevitably sound better/louder than L7's. with that said, few people do this. so L7's are better to the average person

Yeah i would say go with the L5's. I think it's better to over power them then under power them.
