A group of Buddhist monks, the JHU hold nine seats in Sri Lanka's 225-seat parliament. But their unconventinal tactics have upset more conservative Sinhalese Buddhists. Today the JHU are actively supporting the government's military campaign against the Tamil tigers.

Surely any monk who chooses to ally himself with politics can be no longer considered worthy to wear the robe of the sangha. He has openly defied the command of the Buddha which prohibits monks from joining politics. Their shall be a place reserved in hell surely. They are no better than the violent extremist terrorists who claim to be peace loving Muslims.

Sinhala Monks r nothing short of the Klu Klax Klan. The monks r the major irritant to Sinhala & Tamil unity. But the majority community is enslaved by their idealogy.

This ethno-religious Klansmen could be termed as the buddhist version of islamic fundamentalism. I.e. Soma thero & the monks r no different from Hassan Al Banna & the Muslim brotherhood. They have their own secretive assasins & the military apparatus which falls at their feet.

Lets see how far they could go. Shame on you!

Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country. they have there solutions to there problems. As a Buddhist i know what the Buddhism is. It is not like Islam or catholic. Islam and catholic are like brothers( even they fight each other ) Buddhism is not even the neighborer.If you are a Islam or catholic people you don't even try to understand what is Buddhism. because you can't. prayers never understand Buddha. They can raise there hand to the sky and can beg from god whatever Allah or Yahweh.
