This is nothing, people who develop Burgers disease from smoking and losing feets and hands are still smoking!!!! Thats how fucking bad this addiction is. Im desperatly trying to quit, ive been smoking since i was 13 years old now 20 years later im borderline type 2.
What concerns me is that smoking reduces appetite, and once you stop, your appetite goes up. For me, having a blood glucose reading like that non-smoker, 17.4 - I'd be more concerned about that than having the odd ciggie. He was having some soda, some carrots, and some jello - so what did he have for breakfast!
His toes won't last long with readings like that, smoker or not.
Smoking worsens the symptoms and speeds up the progress of diabetes. Smoking and diabetes are killer combination, just like a diabetic who is an alcoholic.

Everything worsens the symptoms of diabetes...
Smoking, drinking, eating, sleeping, excercise, life, everything.
