Inverted solar powered low temperature Stirling engine, shown running on sunlight. Having the engine raised on stilts keeps the cool plate (the lower of the top two) away from any hot surfaces which could possibly reduce the temperature differential. The engine will also operate on the same heat sources that our conventional Stirling engines run on, ie the heat given from a halogen or incandescent light, the human hand, hot coffee, ice etc.
