Excellent video! great message! I'll be voting as always. Oh and still go down to register your vote even if you didnt get your voter cards... it happened to us on the last election but we went anyway and were able to show i.d. and still vote! cheers!

You need a Canadian Obama so you can plaster your candidate all over youth media to get their attention.

You go predaking :D

@sportswolf3 Absolutely, I'm proof you don't have to be "into" politics to make an informed decision .

excellent video, I was blown away to hear the ratio of people voting in Canada, I always assumed it would be much higher. In Australia we have compulsory voting which think works fine, people complain a bit but we as a country are generally happy to do things and don't have that "governments can't tell us what to do" mentality that many do.
Really good message here that I hope, even if its just one person, they see the importance of their vote.

@damnyouhussies Yep, 2008 was the second lowest voter turn out in our history, only 58.8%
The lowest was 1898 with 44.6% & even at that it was a referendum.
I had to Google compulsory voting, it's an interesting premise. Certainly something I did not know about before.

Over here in the Netherlands the voting upturning is fairly low too. Sadly most youth go with one of two minds. Either they think that voting is of no use. Or they vote for whatever promises the biggest shake-up in government and don't look at what the parties are truly about.

@Eucep Here they just don't show up to vote. I believe we only have a 40% turn out for the 18 to 30 age range.
