Through its Japanese partners on the ground, CWS Asia-Pacific has been providing humanitarian assistance since the onset of the emergency on March 11, 2011. One of CWS's key partners, Peace Boat, has mobilized thousands of volunteers to assist with clearing mud from houses, shops and public spaces in one of the most affected cities, Ishinomaki, providing not only material assistance but also invaluable moral support to the tragedy's survivors. This documentary, produced by FunnyPro, provides a unique insight into the special relationship between Peace Boat volunteers and the communities that they continue to serve. CWS-Asia/Pacific will continue to support Peace Boat until September 2013.
