Seattle, San Diego, Mexico CIty... are official materials. I give more value to "commons" shows. He sings greats in Irvine and Slims club 1996, Ozzfest and Arras 2008, Zagreb, and Stevenage 2009.
I prefer his voice in 2008 / 2009 than 1997 - 2007! He also improved a lot!

@yfm4450 Yeah, never had vocal lessons until 1991, so his singing changed a lot. I'm not sure if I like his voice better than what it used to be or not. Back before his lessons his vocal were really rough and characteristic. It really growled. His new voice is pretty smooth and he can get into different ranges and is a lot more flexible. They're both awesome in their own ways.

James voice sure has changed. I've been playing the cd versions side by side with these new version and they almost sound like a completly different person.

Yes... Ride the Lightning version is very faster than live version... In my opinion is best performances of this from Load/ReLoad era when Hetfields voice started to get softer.. Check out my video Fade to Black live 1996
