Teton Gravity Research has partnered up with the Surfrider Foundation for their new film project OUT THERE.
Not only does the film capture the incredible progression taking place within the sport of surfing today, it also takes a thought-provoking look into the environmental destruction threatening key surf spots such as Trestles in Southern California, surf in Southern Chile threatened by pulp mills, Teahupoo and its growing popularity, mainland Mexico, North Shore Hawaii near the Turtle Bay development and beyond.

Everybody should do stuff to prevent the beaches and water to be poluted. But not only that, there are also alot of surfers that come by car to their spots ( ok, if you life far away from the spot i understand, but public transport is also a good option.) I always try to go surfing with my bike, even if the wind is strong. I think i contribute a bit by doing this. And not leaving any garbage on the beach also helps.
I'm going to take flak for this. We have talked a lot about keeping the beaches clean and safe on Maui. The situation has gotten worse over the years and there seems no end in sight. The only way to stop littering and trash dumping here, is to take action. Stop them any way you can. If a few heads get busted in the process all the better. We are done talking here. Trash our beaches and you get a free ride to Maui Memorial Hospital. We are watching.
Stopping "progression" in the face of big money, ignorance, and universal corrupt government.................goo d luck. I wish Surfrider the best of luck . At least they are trying.
