I am Jeremy Bruch, aka "Jrm," drummer for What Made Milwaukee Famous. I've been cooking almost as long as I've been drumming, and consider them to be the two things I'm best at and most passionate about. Given my recent disenchantment with current food-related programming, I am taking a stab at creating my own cooking show of sorts. "Jrm Says.." will incorporate various styles and techniques that I've learned from some truly great chefs and cooks over the years, as well as various guest tasters, ranging from foodie friends to fellow musicians to some of my culinary heroes. I'd like to see this show grow into a sort of Dinner For Five meets Molto Mario meets The Friars' Club, but we'll see. Who knows where this veritable child-of-frankenstein will stumble off to..
For now, sit back and suck on seven minutes' worth of my most recent interpretation of a fabulous tomatillo chili from Austin's own Hyde Park Bar & Grill that comforted me in the winter of 1998 and has haunted me ever since...
