This sci-fi drama brings to the screen the most important work by Brazilian medium Chico Xavier who, through the account of the spirit of Dr Andre Luiz, describes in great detail what life is like in the Astral City.

It is the mid-1930s, and doctor André Luiz opens his eyes and realizes he is no longer alive. His spirit´s journey begins in a dimension of pain and suffering, until he's rescued and taken to the city Our Home.

The original score is by opera and symphony composer Phillip Glass, who has collaborated with artists ranging from Twyla Tharp to Allen Ginsberg, Woody Allen to David Bowie. The film has magnificent art direction, and took second place at the Brazilian box office in 2010.
