Way back in the sixth grade when me and Shug became friends, we thought it would be cool to study kung fu in China. Who knew we would both actually end up living here. I always wanted to go to the Shaolin temple, and now my dream has been fulfilled.

It's sad how commercialized Shaolin has become. I would like to visit Shaolin myself, but only as a scholar invited to study the inner workings and not the Disney-like facade funded by the government.

Go elsewhere then man. believe it or not all places in China are really designed for Chinese tourist. It's fine tuned to meet the taste of Chinese. The only peopel That study Kung Fu there are kids and teenagers.

Eh, that is a Chinese typo. Usually my Chinese is on point but...I only caught it myself a few months ago. This was the Northern Temple. The Southern Shaolin Temple was near where I lived Just outside of Putian in Fujian Province. There is very little there outside of an ordinary temple with non-fighting monks. There is an school that teaches kung fu, down the road though.
