I don´t like "All about Eve." I honestly do not know what happening with this woman for her to do a single good music in throughout his life. Hahaha

The music reminded me of Siouxsie (hope she does not take offense xD)

If someone says that this music is not of the band, I swear, I believe, but I researched and not found to download music to confirm, the only information that is "All about Eve."

All About Eve • Released July
Lyric:

See the roses growing purposely
Dreaming of the vase
Blood-stained poet calls it vanity
I'd call it yearning
Rarest butterfly, steel his charm away
Stab him under glass
From within it grew
Ink tattooed in you

D stands for desire, for desire
First i want the prize then i have the prize
Give stranger jewels
Little boy lost, little girl lost
Found, smashed their shrine
Medal on your breast only half as precious
As when your head
Medal on your breast only half as precious
As your desire, your desire

Severed roses drawn, in their vases, decay away
How they want pain, need pain, crave pain, love pain
D is for desire
D stands for desire

  • I think it is Julianne Regan from AAE, though I'm sure it wasn't even a b-side at that time - I think that Siouxsie has a slightly harder edge to the voice, though I really could be wrong. Great Track anyway - but it isn't 'Happy House' by any stretch of the imagination. AAE's cover of 'Emily Plays' is pretty good, but again, it isn't 'Arnold Layne.'

  • @amimillie I think the same thing, thank you!!!

  • anyone ever hear of a band called 'Love Club'? 80's band, gothy, in a simillar style as this song, hard to find. I've been looking everywhere.

  • @Letalone I've never heard...but I'll tell you, if I find something on the web. :)

  • Great artwork from the good old 80s.... you really know the music I like!!! Awesome!

  • @watchtower183 Yes I know, because we are alike! :)

  • end of the day is a great track, as was love leads nowhere. I prefer this era of their music over the nicer stuff that followed...

  • Yeah, this song is definitely bad ass!

  • If I did' t know, I believe it was siouxsie and the banshees

  • asshole

  • Very Sad ....I Like this

  • The original track can be found on the CDs "Return to Eden" and "Sixty minutes with All About Eve", currently available at a snip from Amazon.

The notes from "Keepsakes" say: The recording session was fraught... Zwingmann left... D for Desire would be reviewed with the words "D for Drivel". But their sound was changing fast... "Suddenly, I had to think beyond my bad sub-Siouxsie impersonation."

Check out some of the magical songs that came next :o)

  • This was All about Eves first hit and a rarity at that, worth a pretty penny if you have the original single.

  • @SiouxsieSehnsucht Thank you, I've been looking for a while with no luck. I had an album ( their only release?)of theirs on a cassette tape when I was in my early 20's, it either got lost during a move or someone 'liberated' it from me. I used to hear songs from that release in the clubs now and again, but now it's like they never existed =/ I can't even remeber any song titles....
