  • Oh no, they are Syrians. born and bred, and the situation is far worse than this video lets on. Let's not let national pride blinds us to the reality of this problem, otherwise, it will grow worse and worse.

  • moazzen23, that is beside the point. There are places like that all over the world to be sure. But I doubt very much that there exist 600,000 child laborers and beggars in all of Europe, not mention Paris. But that is the number of child laborers in Syria, according to the most conservative estimates.

  • before alassad took over syria , syria had more poor people begging for money in the streets!!!!!!! there are poor people in every arab nation !!!!!!!! dont blame the assads for this blame her parents letting her wonder around in the streets!!!!!!! why cant they work like everyone else!!!!!!!!

  • fuck al asad family

  • I have seen this and worse in all major syrian cities and in the north by the turkish borders..

This is disturbing now that I have children of my own and have lived in the west for some time, but back then I remember some kind of "immunity" to such horrible images of our society. I was used to it and it didn't affect as much.

Efforts such as yours, Tharwa, are highly appreciated as they bring this back to our awareness.. moazzen and his/her alike r hard to fathom !!? r they even human %#$!?

  • what kind of logic is that? Damascus is like Paris now?!!!!

  • trueeee

  • most of them arent syrian..they r irakis and palastinian refugees

  • to be fair most of such child labor isn't real forced child labor, the high numbers maybe be due to the rural nature of most of syria, having a child help out on the farm.

a father may decide early a child doesn't really have the aptitude for education and taking over the family cropis best.

and if i'm being totally fair syria has made a great effort against child labor, and relatively tried their best in educating children.

i think you are barking up the wrong tree.

  • i can show u some places in paris looks like this, evry land has something like that..and even apoor land like syria...
